Time To Get The Hell Out Of Dodge!

With the latest Ebola in America updates we see that those "crazy" preppers aren't so crazy after all and with the dangerous decisions being made by the Obama administration, from refusing to implement travel bans to completely ineffective political theater measures like screening passengers from Ebola infected countries at only five airports across the US, perhaps people should consider that NOW is the time to get the hell out of dodge.
LATEST HEADLINES reveal how unprepared America is for any outbreak, especially one which can kill up to 90 percent of those that become infected, like Ebola which has killed more than 4,000 in west Africa and is now in the US.
Lets start with the political theater of offering screenings at five major airports, which is nothing more than optics, because it is totally ineffective. Consider these facts: The five airports doing the screenings only account for 94 percent of the people that travel to the US from Ebola hit countries, leaving six percent unaccounted for. The screenings themselves will do nothing at all to prevent this deadly virus from spreading in America as the very first case, Thomas Duncan, reportedly wasn't symptomatic when he entered the country.
Proof that the US government knows these screenings will be completely ineffective is, that despite these screenings, the CDC is already warning New York to prepare for Ebola, as reported by Washington Examiner.
Another healthcare worker who dealt with his clinical specimens is now on a cruise ship in the Caribbean, reports ABC News. All healthcare workers that had contact with Duncan or his specimens have been asked to "self-quarantine," the NYT reports.
Rather than restrict air travel and ban any person from an Ebola infected country from entering the US, the obama administration, in all their wisdom has decided to sent US troops to west Africa to "combat" the virus, while providing them with only four hours of virus training for such a mission. Healthcare workers receive years of training to get their degrees, yet they are becoming infected, so it is clear that four hours, is a complete joke.
This is just a small sample of the headlines and information out there from ONE case of imported Ebola into the US, and the fallout will be felt for weeks until the first wave hits. What I mean by "wave" is that according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the CDC, the "incubation period, that is, the time interval from infection with the virus to onset of symptoms is 2 to 21 days," meaning that another "wave" will appear in another three weeks, then a third wave three weeks later....etc.... and if the virus runs true to form, without further mutations, cases and potential cases will double every time.
As seen from just the sample of news out there, the US government has been completely irresponsible and ineffective in preventing Ebola to hit the US, so we are at the point where it is time to ask "should we be getting the hell out of dodge?"
The answer is yes and more and more people are finally waking up to that fact as "prepping" now goes mainstream, described in a Daily Beast report titled "Apocalypse Now: Preppers Are Gearing Up for Ebola."
It’s showtime for the Doomsday set. As the lethal virus crosses America’s doorstep, prep kits and gas masks are flying off shelves and fringe survivalists are going mainstream.
Whether one is prepared to drop everything right this second or not, preparing for that eventuality will at least leave those that do so in a better position to "bug out" when they feel the time has come than those that continue to ignore it.
Those living in a large city should at least have a location and the means to get there that is away from a large congregation of people, large cities are a breeding ground for infectious viruses. Stocking up on the basics, water, canned goods, disinfectants, etc.... are critical and all the supplies will eventually be used whether Ebola becomes a pandemic in the US or not, so what is the harm in preparing?
Bottom line - If you think the US government is going to ride in a save the day when SHTF, even after all the missteps and bad, dangerous decisions that have been made already...... then you deserve what you get.
