In 1971, NY Democratic Representative Bella Abzug introduced legislation to Congress to recognize a "Women's Equality Day." It was passed in 1973 with August 26 designated as the day to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution:
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
On August 26, 2025, President Trump issued a Presidential Message on Women’s Equality Day recognizing the 105th anniversary of the ratification and certification of the 19th Amendment and honor an American Founding Principle that all humans are created equal. He states that we, as a nation, remain committed to protecting the blessings of liberty for generations to come.
On August 26, 2025, President Trump held his 7th Cabinet meeting. During the meeting, they highlighted the gains American workers have made since President Trump was inaugurated, such as rising blue-collar wages (partially due to trade agreements), private sector job growth (partially due to tariffs on non-US-produced goods), OBBB landmark tax cuts (mostly if you earn tips or overtime). The article highlights comments from VP Vance as well as the heads of the various departments/agencies:
Vice President JD Vance: “Public safety is not just something that should belong to the wealthy. It should belong to every working man and woman in the United States of America — and because of the work of this Administration, that is happening.”
Secretary of Labor Lori Chavez-DeRemer: “Unemployment is holding steady and more than two million net jobs for native-born Americans has been key under your leadership. 84% of the workforce and jobs has been produced by the private sector… [The One Big Beautiful Bill] is protecting our American workforce by expanding Pell Grants and childcare and a reduction in taxes.”
Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum: “You’ve led an opportunity for us to have lower taxes, way lower deregulation, record amounts of investments that’s coming into this country, we’re going to be seeing lower interest rates. All of those things coming together is a gift to the working people. The policies are lifting everybody up.”
Secretary of Education Linda McMahon: “What I’m finding with great joy around the country is that states really are being innovative in working more with middle schools and with high schools to make sure that we are having hands-on learning, pathways to jobs that are happening now… They’re learning on the job so that when they graduate from high school, they’re ready to go into the workforce.”
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Scott Turner: “We have, at HUD, been very intentional about changing the conversation about the dignity of work and the dignity and the honor of family formation through work — and how the younger generation, when they see their parents work, how they’re incentivized to work.”
Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler: “[The One Big Beautiful Bill is delivering] the largest tax cut in American history for working families. The average family of four is going to save about $10,000 take home pay more a year. We’re seeing an increase in the Child Tax Credit, an increase in the standard deduction — hardworking families are going to benefit from this bill.”
Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins: “We’ve opened new facilities. We’ve put new facilities in places where workers can get to. We’ve expanded out hours — over a million extra hours so younger veterans, in particular, can get off work and bring themselves to get their appointments after hours or on Saturdays… That’s what it means for Labor Day because we can’t forget the ones that fought for us.”
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer: “In the last quarter of 2024, median weekly earnings fell 2.1%. In the first quarter of your term, they went up 3.3% — and that’s why we’re doing the trade policy we’re doing. It’s to help the workers of the United States.”
Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.: “We’re raising an infusion of cash to rural hospitals and rural communities by 50%. It’s going to be the biggest infusion in history and it’s going to restore and revitalize these communities. We can’t survive as a nation if we don’t honor our rural communities.”
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem: “Today, the average family and individual that lives in this country is safer than they’ve been in years… We’ve got three months in a row now with zero illegal aliens coming into our country… 1.6 million people voluntarily go home to their home countries — that were here in this country illegally.”
Secretary of Energy Chris Wright: “You led off today talking about gasoline prices. I’ll throw in diesel. If you correct for inflation, they’re at multi-decade lows.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “You made it very clear from the outset, even in foreign policy, everything we did has to be pro-American — it has to make America stronger or safer or more prosperous… For the first time in the modern era, we are truly on offense against organized cartels that are pumping poison — killer poison — into our cities.” [RELATED: Marco Rubio Had Quite the Labor Day Joke....and the Entire Trump Cabinet Loved It]
Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent: “Economic security is national security and our country has never been so secure… Your Administration has made a meaningful dent in the budget deficit. The average budget deficit during this term is 26% less than the last twelve months under Biden.”
Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins: “The Big Beautiful Bill… is the greatest investment in rural America in history… A game-changer, a country saver.”
Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy: “We want to take the money that Congress gives us and actually deploy it and put these men and women to work building the great projects of this country… and that’s why we got rid of the DEI, we’ve got rid of the ‘green’… We’re going to move these projects faster, putting the great American worker back to work.”
Attorney General Pam Bondi: “[Illegal alien gangs] and others throughout this country, throughout this world, have brought into our country drugs, cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamines. It’s killing our kids and we have to stop that — and that’s what you’ve been doing, not only in D.C., but around the country at your leadership.”
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth: “[The Department of Defense is] the largest employer in America. We like to think we have a different form of employees who need to be the toughest and the strongest and the most well trained and the most lethal. Under the previous administration and for decades, frankly, it was social justice, it was political correctness, it was divisive ideologies seeping into the ranks and changing how well we do our job. No more. Now, it is only merit-based, gender-neutral, colorblind, the best of the best from the top to the bottom. That is our expectation.”
Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick: “Four days before you took office, the Commerce Department, which had the CHIPS money, they set up… a make-believe not-for-profit. They signed contracts to wire them $7.4 billion… We stopped the payment. We’ve got the money.”
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin: “In one agency, in one year, we’ll do more deregulation than entire federal governments have done across all agencies across entire presidencies.”
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard: “We’ve exposed some of the worst examples of the weaponization of Intelligence in the last several weeks. I will continue down that mission and that path — wherever it leads.”
Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought: “We are at 245 deregulatory initiatives planned by these agencies. That comes out to 30-for-1, so we are making incredible strides.”
Special Envoy Steve Witkoff: “I was in Gaza — the first American diplomat on your behalf — and as we delivered food and aid, pursuant to your new aid initiative… the people were applauding you.”
CIA Director John Ratcliffe: “The CIA workforce at the Trump CIA is grateful to be focused on what it’s supposed to be, which is helping you prevent and end wars and to make America safer.”

EO 14263, signed April 9, 2025, charges Susman Godfrey engaged in activities detrimental to American interests. It further charges Susman Godfrey with unlawful discrimination. The EO orders the US AG, DNI, and other relevant heads of executive departments and agencies to take steps (consistent with law) to suspend active security clearances of people at this law firm pending review. It also directs all contracts with this law firm be reviewed for adherence to established laws and EO guidelines.
The lawsuit sought the following relief: 1) Defendants are enjoined from implementing or giving effect to the Order in any way, including by relying on any of the statements in Section 1; 2) Defendants are directed to rescind any and all guidance or direction that has already issued that relates to implementing or enforcing the Order; 3) Defendants are directed to issue guidance to their officers, staff, employees, and contractors to disregard the Order and carry on with their ordinary course of business as if the Order had never issued; 4) Defendants U.S. Department of Justice; Pamela Bondi, in her official capacity as U.S. Attorney General; the Office of Management and Budget; and Russell Vought, in his official capacity as Director of the Office of Management and Budget, are directed to immediately issue guidance to all other agencies subject to the Order to suspend and rescind any implementation or enforcement; and 5) Defendants are directed to take, in good faith, any other steps that are necessary to prevent the implementation or enforcement of the Order. The appeal of the summary judgement in lawsuit Susman Godfrey LLP v. Executive Office of the President was filed August 26, 2025 docket # 25-5310 in the Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit.
On August 25, 2025, a lawsuit was filed Abrego Garcia v. Noem docket # 8:25-cv-02780 in District Court, D. Maryland over the detention of Abrego Garcia and the government's plans to deport him to Uganda (since he is ineligible to be returned to his home country of El Salvador due to his gang affiliation). The lawsuit seeks the following relief: 1) Issuing an Order to Show Cause, ordering Respondents to justify the basis of Petitioner’s detention in fact and in law, forthwith; 2) Preliminarily enjoining Respondents from detaining Petitioner more than 200 miles from this courthouse; 3) Enjoining Respondents from removing Petitioner to Uganda without first concluding Petitioner’s reasonable-fear and withholding-only proceedings, including all appeals; 4) Enjoining Respondents from removing Petitioner to Uganda without first attempting to remove Petitioner to Costa Rica; 5) Finding that Respondents’ present detention of Petitioner violates due process and 8 U.S.C. § 1231(a)(6); 6) Issuing a writ of habeas corpus, and ordering that Petitioner be released from physical custody; and 7) Granting such other relief at law and in equity as justice may require. Isn't it amazing how an ILLEGAL ALIEN member of a gang that has been determined to be a terrorist gang has more rights than a US Citizen in our courts? There is only ONE solution to anyone in our country illegally: immediate deportation.
I was wondering how long it would take for the SCOTUS August 21, 2025 ruling (discussed in my August 22, 2025 ANP Article) to make it's way to the liberal courts. On August 25, 2025, in the lawsuit California v. McMahon the case was dismissed by plaintiffs for docket # 1:25-cv-00329 in District court, D. Rhode Island first filed July 14, 2025 over federal grant terminations. The lawsuit was seeking the following relief: 1) Issue a judicial declaration that the ED Funding Freeze, and the agency actions implementing them, are unlawful because they are: (a) ultra vires; (b) in violation of the APA; and (c) in violation of the Constitution; 2) Issue a judicial declaration that in implementing the ED Funding Freeze, the Agency Defendants have unlawfully withheld and/or unreasonably delayed an agency action that they are required to take; 3) Pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 706, vacate the ED Funding Freeze and any agency implementation thereof; 4) Preliminarily and permanently enjoin the Agency Defendants from implementing the ED Funding Freeze; 5) Enter an order pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 706(1) compelling the Agency Defendants to apportion the funds appropriated for the Impacted Programs that the Agency Defendants have withheld, and to make the funds available to the States for obligation; 6) Issue a writ of mandamus compelling the Agency Defendants to apportion the funds appropriated for the Impacted Programs and to make the funds available to the States for obligation; 7) Award the Plaintiff States their reasonable fees, costs, and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2412; and 8) Grant other such relief as this Court may deem proper. In this case, plaintiffs agree to drop the case because defendants intend to make funds available on or about October 1, 2025 but not later than October 3, 2025 for the impacted programs.
Likewise, on August 25, 2025, plaintiffs dismissed the lawsuit in the case of New York v. National Science Foundation originally filed May 28, 2025, docket # 1:25-cv-04452 filed in District court S.D. New York regarding indirect cost rate cutting for NSF programs. The lawsuit initially sought the following relief: 1) Enter an order pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 706(2) holding unlawful and vacating the Priority Directive; 2) Enter a declaratory judgment finding that the Priority Directive and its implementation are invalid, arbitrary and capricious, contrary to law, ultra vires, and violative of the United States Constitution; 3) Issue preliminary and permanent injunctive relief barring implementation of the Priority Directive as to Plaintiff States and their institutions; 4) Enter an order pursuant to 5 U.S.C. § 706(2) holding unlawful and vacating the Indirect Cost Directive; 5) Enter a declaratory judgment finding that the Indirect Cost Directive is invalid, arbitrary and capricious, and contrary to law; 6) Issue preliminary and permanent injunctive relief barring implementation of the Indirect Cost Directive or otherwise modifying negotiated indirect cost rates except as permitted by statute and regulation; 7) Award Plaintiff States their reasonable fees, costs, and expenses, including attorneys’ fees, pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2412; and 8) Award such other relief as this Court may deem just and proper. The court denied the preliminary injunction on August 1, 2025. Then SCOTUS ruled and this case was simply voluntarily dismissed on August 22, 2025 (one day following the SCOTUS decision). The voluntary dismissal was recorded August 25, 2025.
The lawsuit United States of America v. Chief Judge Russell, et. al docket # 1:25-cv-02029 filed June 24, 2025 in District Court D. Maryland challenging the District of Maryland District Court bench's decision to prevent the deportation of any immigrant detained in Maryland who filed a habeas petition, was dismissed. The lawsuit sought the following relief: 1) That this Court enter a judgment declaring that the Standing Order and Amended Standing Order violate the requirements for issuing injunctions, violate the limitations on district courts’ jurisdiction and remedial authority in 8 U.S.C. § 1252, and violate the requirements for local rules; 2) That this Court issue preliminary and permanent injunctions that prohibit the Defendants as well as their successors, agents, and employees from implementing or effectuating the Standing Order and Amended Standing Order and from enforcing their terms in any case; and 3) That this Court award any other relief it deems just and proper. The defendants demanded a motion to dismiss which Judge Thomas T. Cullen granted on August 26, 2025. This dismissal was immediately appealed on August 26, 2025. Just more games by the liberal court system.
Commerce taught me what to build. Independence taught me what to build for.
Today's Patriot is George Clymer who was born March 16, 1739 in Philadelphia, Providence of Pennsylvania. By the time he was 1 year old, he was orphaned (although other sources say his father died when he was 7). He went to live with his maternal aunt & the aunt's husband as a merchant 'apprentice' and later an accountant. I cannot even imagine being 1 year old (or even 7 years old) and being 'apprenticed' to become a merchant!
On March 22, 1765, George married Elizabeth Meredith. They had 9 children, 5 of whom survived to adulthood. Prior to his marriage, public record showed George had a child by an unknown woman. But no information is forthcoming on the child.
George first came upon the political scene with the Boston Tea Party. By 1776, he was elected to the 2nd Continental Congress as a delegate for Pennsylvania. During the war, when Congress abandoned Philadelphia, George stayed behind continuing his business ventures. He championed the Continental Loan plan that allowed Congress to borrow money from private citizens to fund the war effort.
During the war, the British vandalized his house while George's wife, Elizabeth, and their children hid in the woods.
In 1782, George moved his family to Princeton so his children could attend school there.
In 1791, George became head of the Excise Department in Pennsylvania responsible for collecting the duty on liquor that was domestically distilled. In 1796, George Washington selected George to negotiate the Treaty of Colerain with the Creek and Cherokee Indians in Georgia.
After retirement from politics, George was elected the first president of the Philadelphia bank, first president of the Philadelphia academy of Fine Arts, and vice-president of the Philadelphia Agricultural Society. He held all 3 of these positions until his death.
George died after a brief unknown illness on January 23, 1813 at his home at age 73 in Morrisville, New Jersey. He is interred at the Friends Burying Ground in Trenton, New Jersey.
The ship USS George Clymer (AP-57) was renamed from African Planet to USS George Clymer on January 9, 1942 in honor of Patriot George Clymer. The USS George Clymer has received 5 battle stars for WWII and 7 for the Korean conflict. The ship is still on active service with the US 7th Fleet.
Those are some of the exact words used by Google’s censors, aka 'Orwellian content police,' in describing many of our controversial stories. Stories later proven to be truthful and light years ahead of the mainstream media. But because we reported those 'inconvenient truths' they're trying to bankrupt ANP.
