Andrea Weiskopf, a Loudoun middle school English and Latin teacher, has been a fixture at such events throughout the county, advocating progressive causes, for years. She began several years ago when the School Board started discussing protections for the LGBTQ community.
“I’m brave, I’m not stupid,” Weiskopf once assured security guards at a conservative event. Weiskopf isn’t shy about crowds, although she does avoid confrontation. She sat out the June 22 School Board meeting, where hundreds of people showed up to chastise the School Board for planning to implement protections for transgender students. Ultimately, a chaotic boardroom crowd was cleared out by deputies.
I start this piece with Weiskopf because she is the perfect example of why parents around the country are showing up at schoolboard meetings to fight for their right to be the ultimate decision makers for their children.
The snark of her social media posts, at first thought of as sarcasm, until you look at her history and realize her personal beliefs are what determines how she educates her students, indicates clearly her disrespect for parents and parental rights as the children's "primary stakeholders."
Unfortunately these days, if you live in a liberal city or state, Weiskopf is the rule rather than the exception.
Teachers like Weiskopf, and we will show more of them below, are encouraged in that mentality by the Biden regime, as we see that Biden's Education Secretary, Miguel Cardona, refuses to admit in congressional testimony, that parents are the "primary stakeholders," in their children's education.
Question: "Do you think parents should be in charge of their child's education as the primary stakeholder?"
Cardona: "I believe parents are important stakeholders, but I also believe educators have a role in determining educational programming."
A local school district forced a middle school teacher to remove a pro-police flag from her classroom wall. But the district allows Black Lives Matter and LGBT messages to be displayed.
The teacher at Marysville Middle School posted a Thin Blue Line flag in her classroom. It was meant to support the police. But according to documents obtained by the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH, the district’s human resources said the flag is a “political symbol” that could elicit a “disruption” in the classroom. She was ordered to take it down.
It is noteworthy that the teacher's brother was an law enforcement officer and her statement was not political, but rather a show of support for him, not a "movement."
Either way, if they force someone to remove one, then all should be removed and if they allow one, then the others should be allowed as well.

Parents across America have had quite enough of their children being indoctrinated by socialist and communist teachers, and have started showing back up at schoolboard meetings to insist they be ones to determine what is and what is not appropriate for their children to be learning.
We have seen some very angry parents, Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, standing up and demanding to be heard and to have input regarding their children's education.
Granted some of these meetings have gotten quite tense, usually when the schoolboards completely ignore the will of the parents as to their children's education, which sent the tyrannical schoolboard members scurrying away because they cannot handle parents asserting their parental rights.
A Southern California public school teacher was caught admitting to encouraging her students to pledge allegiance to the LGBT pride flag as an alternative to the American flag, bragging of the indoctrination on her own TikTok account.
The teacher, identified as Kristin Pitzen of Newport Mesa School District in Orange County, recounts taking down the American flag, an then pointing to the LGBT flag as an alternative.
Add COVID into the mix and how children spent a year being taught school remotely, via Zoom and other video platforms, giving parents ample opportunity to "see" and "hear" what their children are being taught, and how public school teachers are going about teaching, and we are not surprised at the massive number of parents that have decided to homeschool their children.
For those that logistically cannot homeschool their children, they only have their voice, physically showing up at meetings to make it clear that they are the ultimate decision makers in regards to their children.
How dare parents think they have more rights in the decisions about their own children than *GASP* a bunch of strangers on a schoolboard or a teacher.
Education Week reports that the National School Boards Association sent a letter to Biden suggesting that the Patriot Act be enforced against these unruly parents who keep showing up to meetings across the country demanding answers and accountability from the very school boards that control their children's education.
"America's public schools and its education leaders are under immediate threat," the letter begins. As such, it goes on, the National School Boards Association "respectfully asks for federal law enforcement and other assistance to deal with the growing number of threats and violence and acts of intimidation occurring across the nation."
The Post Millennial has a number of examples showing why schoolboard members should be scared, and it isn't fear of life and limb, but rather their board positions as a number of schoolboard members have been ousted due to parents standing up and speaking out.
An Orange County school board heard from a parent about the detrimental impacts of critical race and critical gender indoctrination. A Colorado Springs parent demanded answers on this kind of curriculum as well. An Oregon mom was so fed-up that she took her child and moved to Texas so he could get a proper education.
The point here: If these schoolboard members cannot handle parental participation, or the anger when they completely ignore parental rights, perhaps they step down rather than whining to the Biden regime about it.
PARENTS HAVE HAD ENOUGH
It took far too long in my opinion, but parents are finally starting to stand up for their rights as parents, and the schoolboard association simply cannot deal with it, so now they want parents angered by schools ignoring their wants, their input and their religious beliefs, (only if they are Christian beliefs!), to be investigated as a form of intimidation to basically scare them into sitting down and shutting up rather than asserting their parental rights.
I'll be very clear here. While we never encourage offensive violence, while believing 100% in the right to defend, educators and schoolboard members need to remember there are more parents than there are of them combined.
When it comes to protecting their children, parents can be beasts, and if these schoolboards and teachers want to declare war.... they will lose if parents continue to stand up and fight back.
For years parental participation dwindled, and now we are seeing full meeting rooms, parents of all colors, ethnicities and religions stepping up and speaking out.
It is time for parents to take back control of their children's education, whether by homeschooling, or if that is not possible, showing up, making sure to vote in the schoolboard elections, and learn about the candidate before doing so.
Speak out, oust those ignoring parents and who think they have the right to determine what is best for the children of others, go to local media, and anything else that will make sure your voice isn't only heard, but abided.
It is time educators, schoolboard members, principals and any other school employees, learn that they work for us and our children, not the other way around.
