President Trump Meets With Visiting Dignitaries As Well As With The Secretary-General Of The UN, Patriot Elizabeth Griscom, And More

By S.E. Gunn, PhDAll News Pipeline

In addition to the debacle at the UN on September 22, 2025 (discussed in my September 23, 2025 ANP Article), President Trump also held meetings with various dignitaries between September 22, 2025 and September 24, 2025.

In President Trump's opening remarks at the UN Multilateral meeting, he identifies this meeting as the most important of the 32 meetings he was scheduled to attend. He states one of his goals is to end the war in Gaza and another is to obtain the release of the 58 Hamas hostages still being held (both the 20 still alive as well as the 38 who died). He commented that life in the Middle East is better without all the wars. The dignitary from Qatar stated the only reason Qatar was here is to stop the wars and get the hostages home.

In President Trump's press conference with the President of Ukraine, stating he has great respect for the fight that Ukraine is putting up in the Russia/Ukraine war. The President of Ukraine started by saying the FLOTUS is meeting with the first ladies of Ukraine about Ukrainian children. He went on to say that there is good news on the battle front in that Ukrainian soldiers occupied 360 kilometers killing 1,000 Russian soldiers in September, so far. He went on to give thanks to NATO countries for their support in buying weapons from the US. He asks for more pressure and sanctions against Russia from the US and NATO countries. When President was asked by a reporter if countries in the EU should shoot down Russian aircraft in their sovereign airspace, President Trump replied "YES". President Trump deflected the question on trusting President Putin by saying he'd let them know in about a month. When asked about "security guarantees" similar to what we have with European allies, President Trump responded that is a question to be reflected upon a bit later on. When asked what the biggest progress is towards ending the Russia/Ukraine war, President Trump replied that the Russian economy is crashing and that Ukraine is doing a 'very good job' at stopping the very large Russian army. When asked about the drone incursion into Denmark, President Trump said he needed to find out the particulars on what happened. The reporter pressed President Trump on an answer to shooting down aircraft (including drones) invading sovereign airspace, President Trump said it would depend upon circumstance but that we are very strong in supporting NATO especially after they increased their UN tithing to 5% and they are now paying the US for the weapons we produce.

In President Trump's press conference with the President of France, President Trump stated that the President of France is helping in the Russia/Ukraine catastrophe. The President of France stated they back Ukraine concretely. President Trump reminded everyone the Russia/Ukraine war has been going on for 3 1/2 years now with over 7,000 people dying each week and it needs to stop. President Trump gave the President of France kudos for assisting with the ending of a couple of the 7 wars he takes credit for ending. The President of France challenged President Trump to end the war in Gaza for the Nobel Prize.

In President Trump's press conference with the President of Uzbekistan who has held that office for 15 or 16 years and is highly respected for his intelligence and competence. Uzbekistan has made large purchases of US products recently. The President of Uzbekistan pointed out that President Trump says something then backs that up with action. He also pointed out that President Trump settled a war close to Uzbekistan, the Armenia & Azerbaijan war. After being asked (and answering) non-related questions, President Trump thanked the President of Uzbekistan for that country's $105,000,000,000,000 purchases of US products and wished him well in his upcoming speech.

In President Trump's press conference with the President of the European Commission (EU) thanking her for being at the meetings. The President of the EU thanked President Trump for hosting her and looked forward to discussion about Ukraine, missing children, and the 'new hybrid threats' the EU is experiencing. Then President Trump called for questions from the press. The President of the EU was asked how long it would take for the EU to stop buying Russian oil, gas, and food. She replied they have reduced the gas supply, completely stopped buying Russian coal, and massively reduced the oil supply. They have also put sanctions on the ports where Russian supplies are still entering the EU as well as adding additional tariffs on what is still coming in from Russia. When asked how long pointed out the EU said previously that they thought it would take until around 2027, the President of the EU stated they want out, earlier. Right now, they are going through the 'phasing out' and have proposed sanctions 'on the table' for their member states to review. A reporter asked President Trump about his UN speech where he stated the EU has not reached its potential. He replied that their potential depends on those leading it. He pointed out that the UN did not reach out to him when he was "ending 7 wars" and hopes that someday, the UN would expand into ending wars themselves. When asked what structural changes he would like to see take place at the UN, he replied the UN should take up peacekeeping. He went on to say the UN also has fantastic potential but they, too, need leaders who will step up and bring out that potential.

In President Trump's press conference with the President of the Argentine Republic, giving the President of the Argentine Republic his full endorsement for the upcoming Argentine Republic election so he can complete the job he started. A reporter asked if the US was going to "bail out" Argentina. President Trump replied that the President of the Argentine Republic is doing an amazing job, that the US is watching closely but not interfering with what he is doing. President Trump stated we back the President of the Argentine Republic so he can continue to do the job he is doing.

In President Trump's press conference with the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) who welcomed President Trump to the UN stating that the US was "absolutely essential" in the founding of the UN, which relied upon the US as a major political and financial supporter. He went on to state that he believes there are many areas were positive cooperating could bring about peace since that is a central objective of President Trump's. The Secretary-General of the UN went on to state he wanted to reassure President Trump that the UN is entirely at President Trump's disposal to work together for a "just peace in the world based on our common values." The Secretary-General of the UN stated that "the horrible suffering of millions of people in the world can be stopped and we fully appreciate your engagement in that regard." President Trump replied that the US is behind the UN 100% because the potential of the UN is incredible. Although President Trump went on to say that he disagrees with the UN sometimes but he thinks the potential for peace with the UN is great.

It concerns me that the Secretary-General of the UN wants to focus on "peace in the world" via the "common values" shared by the US & UN. That smells of the globalist agenda enumerated in the sustainable development goals put out by the UN. I do NOT want OUR Taxpayer dollars being spent on any of that nonsense!

The update to the lawsuit Trump v. Slaughter docket # 25A264 was discussed in my September 23, 2025 ANP Article.

In the lawsuit Storch v. Hegseth docket # 1:25-cv-00415 filed in District Court, District of Columbia on February 12, 2025, about the firing in Inspectors General, the permanent injunction was denied on September 24, 2025. The original lawsuit requested the following relief: 1) Declaring that the email purporting to immediately terminate plaintiffs without providing Congress 30 days’ notice and substantial, case-specific reasons contravened the IG Act, 5 U.S.C. §403(b), and was therefore legally ineffective; 2) Declaring that plaintiffs remain the lawful IGs of their respective agencies unless and until the President lawfully removes them in compliance with the statutory procedure set forth in 5 U.S.C. §403(b); 3) Enjoining Agency Defendants from taking any further action to obstruct plaintiffs from carrying out their official duties as IGs; 4) Awarding plaintiffs all back pay and benefits owed as a result of their unlawful purported removal in violation of 5 U.S.C. §403(b); and 5) Awarding all other equitable relief that the Court deems necessary and just. On September 24, 2025, Judge Ana C Reyes, denied the plaintiffs' motion for preliminary injunction. Judge Reyes states the court will not decide the merits of plaintiffs' claims or whether they are entitled to legal remedies (such as back pay) due to the Supreme Court's grant of certiorari in the Trump v. Slaughter case (discussed in my September 23, 2025 ANP Article) which may bear on the issues presented in this case. The judge also gave the parties 14 days from the SCOTUS decision (September 22, 2025) to determine if they will pursue 'traditional legal remedies'. If they decide to not pursue the issue, the Court will enter an Order dismissing the case without prejudice.

It wasn't only men who built this country.
It was mothers, wives, daughters, seamstresses.
Even the smallest stitch can hold together the greatest cause.

Today's Patriot is Elizabeth Griscom (Ross, Ashburn, Claypoole) who was born January 1, 1752 on the family farm in Gloucester City, New Jersey. She was 9th of 22 children of whom 11 survived to adulthood. She was born into a Quaker family where plain dress and strict discipline dominated. The family moved to Philadelphia when Betsy was 3 years old.

Betsy attended a Quaker state school run by Rebecca Jones, the Friends Public School, chartered by William Penn as a public institution. During this time her great aunt, Sarah Elizabeth Ann Griscom taught her sewing and other crafts common for women to learn at that time. The "samplers" created by these young women taught them the alphabet, arithmetic, and moral lessons. After completing her school studies, her father apprenticed her to an upholsterer (William Webster).

Betsy eloped with John Ross (nephew of George Ross Jr) who was also an upholstery apprentice of William Webster, in 1773, marrying at Hugg's Tavern in Gloucester City, New Jersey. This marriage caused her to be expelled from the Quaker congregation and split her from her family. Betsy and John had no children. John Ross died in 1775 at the beginning of the Revolutionary War when gunpowder exploded while he was guarding the munitions stores (although other sources say illness was the cause of John's death).

Betsy, and husband John, joined Christ Church where they were exposed to other attendees such as George Washington, future delegates of the Continental Congress, and political/military leadership of the colonial rebellion. They started their own upholstery business. After John's death, Betsy continued the business, expanding from upholstery to include repairing uniforms, making tents, blankets, and stuffed paper tube cartridges with musket balls (packaged ammo) for the Continental Army.

Betsy is best known for creating the 1st American flag and changing the 6-pointed start to 5 points. The story told by her grandson, William Canby, in 1870, goes that in June 1776, she was visited by George Washington, Robert Morris, and her deceased husband's uncle, George Ross. After she demonstrated how a 5-pointed star could be cut quickly with one snip of the scissors, They agreed to make the stars 5-pointed. However, even though Betsy had receipts for sewing flags, other Philadelphia seamstresses such as Margaret Manning, Cornelia Bridges, and Rebecca Young also had receipts for flags sewn in the same timeframe. However, it is unlikely these 3 women had the same political connections to George Washington, Robert Morris, and specifically George Ross. The flag was adopted by Congress on June 14, 1777.

Betsy married mariner Joseph Ashburn on June 15, 1777 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They had 2 children, 1 of whom survived to adulthood. Joseph died in Old Mill Prison, Plymouth, England where he was charged with treason (being of British ancestry who supported the colonies). She learned of Joseph's death from John Claypoole, who had also been imprisoned at Old Mill Prison, was released in August 1782. After release, he brought Betsy the news of Joseph's demise in jail.

Betsy married John Claypoole on May 8, 1783 at Christ Church, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They had 5 children, 4 of whom survived to adulthood. John Claypoole died on August 3, 1817. All 6 of her daughters were apprenticed into her upholstery business.

Throughout everything, Betsy kept her upholstery business. She retired around 1827 turning over the upholstery business to one of her daughters. She moved in with another of her daughters in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. In 1833, she moved in with yet another of her daughters. By this time, Betsy was completely blind.

Betsy died January 30, 1836 at age 84. She was first interred at the Free Quaker burial ground in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1856 her remains, along with those of 3rd husband John Claypoole, were moved to Mount Moriah Cemetery, Pennsylvania. However, in 1975, when city leaders ordered her remains to be moved to the "Betsy Ross House" there were no remains under her tombstone. The workers did, however, find remains elsewhere in the family plot, determined them to be Betsy's, and reinterred them at the "Betsy Ross House" for tourists to visit. On January 1, 1952, the US Post Office commissioned a commemorative stamp to honor the 200th anniversary of Betsy's birth. She is depicted presenting the 13-striped flag with a circle of 13 5-pointed stars in the upper left corner to George Washington, Robert Morris, and George Ross.
